Let's Get Fret Killer on Tour!

If you haven't heard the mysterious Fret Killer (aka fretkillr) yet, you should go watch and listen to his videos over at YouTube. I particularly like his version of Nature's Way.

And then when you're done, click "Demand it!" below and join an existing, or start a new, Demand for him to come do a live show in your city! Who knows, maybe we can all get Fret Killer on the road!

Hey Brian, hope things are well...although I frequent your blog occasionally, I got to this post because it came up when I did a google search of "Fret Killer natures way". (not his mispelling of fretkillr)

I found that guy when I was looking on YouTube for a guitar closeup of somebody playing The Girl from Ipanema. I got hooked on his other videos. Then started sleuthing to figure out who it was. I'm 90% I figured it out, if I'm right his initials are D.M and he's not a celebrity.

Anyway, my Dad had all Spirit's records, and I listened to them growing up, so it was cool to hear this obscure song being covered so well...and to see your post about it!

The voice does sound familiar, but I'm not sure who.
My first guess according to the guitar style would be someone like John Miller (who use to record on Blue Goose records and then on Rounder records in the 1970's and 80's)
here is a discog of Miller:

if you do find out, I'd love to know

On second thought, it also sounds alot like Brooks Williams' guitar style, Brooks is also a great singer and lyricist
